COLLECT VIDEO DATA

With a standard surveillance camera we observe the bees at the flight hole 24 hours a day. This data is sent to the server, where it is analyzed with artificial intelligence (AI). This allows us to analyze the bee traffic and the number and color of the pollen.

At the moment, about 50 gigabytes of video data are generated per day and per colony. This raw data is publicly available.

In the future only the evaluated data will be sent to the server. For this purpose, however, edge devices (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_Computing) are required which evaluate the data directly on site. The raw data collected until then will serve as a basis for training these systems.

Depending on the equipment of the prey, temperature, humidity, weight and audio data can also be transmitted.
